Too hot to handle

This-claimer:Any sort of connotation is purely intentional..

You'd imagine that installing an OS is pretty much a self-explanatory task..but try doing it on a system that gets hot at the touch of 'heavier than standard WIN processing'...the means of identification being the wheeeeennn sound it makes..today's task was to install ubuntu on A T's laptop.

Scene 1:Morning, handing over of the laptop from A to D
A:kal raat ko 10-12 times kiya yaar...shut down hote jaa raha hai..
D:Shit...OK..try karti hoon..

Scene 2:Comp 1 lab
Inserted the CD..answered tonnes of options..it reaches making changes...retrieving files..then shuts down!!
(Above processx3)

D: A, its shutting down again and again!!
A: OK..do one thing..hold the laptop raised..so its vent is exposed..and then try.

I try it..key in stuff again..then it performs better than last time...then shuts down again!!

Scene3:My head
Then there was light..the Instru Dept has labs with AC.

Scene4:Instru Lab
Whether it helps the laptop or not, it does have a cooling effect on me. Process is initiated again..holding it raised and all..the laptop outlasts its previous performances..but refuses to stay turned on until the process completes.
(Above processx3)
Looks like its gonna need some pampering.

Out of desperation, I look around for some inspiration..near the ac that's switched on, there's no plug point..then thankfully, the 2nd AC(in the range of tonnes of plug points) looks striking against the rest of the room..switch on..and put the laptop into "Sarvangaasan pose" on an insulator-plastic sheet on a chair..The process begins again..And finally, the laptop does it..V for Victory!!
